Mr. Ching obtained his law degree from University of Hong Kong and was admitted and enrolled as a solicitor of The Supreme Court of Hong Kong in May 1983.  He joined the Firm as an assistant solicitor in June 1984 and became a partner in April 1986. He is also enrolled as a solicitor in the United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia (Northern Territories).

Mr. Ching is a commercial, litigation and real estate lawyer.  His major areas of practice include banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, liquidation, commercial disputes, tenancy, matrimonial disputes, civil litigation and landed property transactions in Hong Kong.

In terms of public offices, he had been a Committee Member and Vice Chairman of the Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries and a Committee Member of Lifeline Express.
